Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Ringlo mobile application ("the App"), operated by Tranquil Mind Technology JSC ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old — or older, where your country sets a higher minimum age of digital consent (for example 16 in parts of the European Economic Area) — to use the App. If you are a minor in your jurisdiction, you may use the App only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, translate, rent, resell, distribute, decompile or reverse-engineer the App, or remove any proprietary notice, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it.

3. The service

Ringlo identifies incoming callers using the contacts stored on your own device, lets you build a personal spam and block list that silences unwanted calls through Android's call-screening service, gathers the message notifications you have not opened yet from your other apps into a single list, and lets you start a call through your phone's dialler. The App is available in more than 20 languages.

Important limitations you should understand before relying on the App:

Caller identification works only for numbers already saved in your own phone book. Ringlo does not query any external caller-ID database and cannot name an unknown caller.
Call screening depends on Android granting the App the call-screening role, on your device manufacturer's implementation, and on the Android version you run. Blocking may not work on every device, and no blocking system can guarantee that every unwanted call is stopped.
Reading unopened messages requires you to grant Android's notification-access permission, and it can only show notifications that other apps actually post while the permission is on. It is not a message archive and does not recover messages that were never notified or were already dismissed.
The App is not an emergency service. Never rely on it to place, receive or screen emergency calls.

Features may vary by region and device, and we may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the App at any time.

4. Permissions you grant

The App asks only for the permissions its features need: access to your contacts (caller identification), permission to place calls (starting a call from the App), notification access (listing unopened messages), notification posting (in-app reminders and alerts), and an optional exemption from battery optimization so call screening keeps working in the background. Every one of these is optional at the Android level — you can decline or revoke any of them in your device settings, and the App will keep working with the corresponding feature disabled. Contact data, message notification content and your block list are processed on your device only and are never sent to us, as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Advertising

The App is free to download and use and is supported by advertising, including banner, native, interstitial and other standard ad formats. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before showing personalized ads, and you can change that choice later from the ad-settings entry in the App or by resetting your advertising ID in your device settings. The App has no subscriptions and no in-app purchases; we will never ask you to pay for the App or for any feature inside it.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App to break any law, to harass, defraud or endanger anyone, to interfere with or disrupt the App or its infrastructure, to bypass advertising or access controls, to use bots, scrapers or automated tools against the App, or to infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights. You are responsible for how you use the contact and call information the App displays to you, and for complying with the laws of your country on recording, blocking and handling communications. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms.

7. Intellectual property

The App, its source code, design, user interface, artwork, icons, trademarks and all related content are owned by Tranquil Mind Technology JSC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law. Third-party names and logos that appear in the App — including those of messaging applications whose notifications you choose to display — belong to their respective owners; their appearance does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by or endorsement from those owners.

8. Third-party services and content

The App uses third-party services for advertising, analytics and attribution, and it can open other apps on your device (your dialler, your messaging apps, the Google Play Store, web links). Each of those is governed by its own terms and privacy policy, and we are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, timely, error-free or secure, that caller identification will always be correct, or that every unwanted call will be blocked. The App does not provide professional, legal or security advice.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tranquil Mind Technology JSC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, missed calls, missed messages, lost profits, revenue or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the App. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty United States dollars (USD 50). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tranquil Mind Technology JSC, its officers, employees and partners from any claim, demand, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the App or your breach of these Terms or of applicable law.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, including for a breach of these Terms. Sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification and governing law survive termination.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date and, where required, notified in the App. Your continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Hanoi, Vietnam have jurisdiction over any dispute. Nothing in this section removes any mandatory consumer right you have under the law of your country of residence.
