Privacy Policy
Ringlo ("the App", "we", "us", "our"), operated by Tranquil Mind Technology JSC, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the App, you agree to this Policy.
Ringlo is a caller-identification and call-management utility for Android: it identifies incoming callers using your own phone book, lets you build a personal spam and block list that silences unwanted calls, and gathers the message notifications you have not opened yet from your other messaging apps into one place. You do not need to create an account, and there is no sign-in, no user profile and no server-side database of your calls, contacts or messages.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information that stays on your device (we never receive it)
The core features of Ringlo run entirely on your phone. The following data is read locally, stored only in the App's private storage on your device, and is never uploaded to us or to any third party:
- Contacts. With the
READ_CONTACTSpermission you grant, the App reads the names and phone numbers in your phone book so it can show who is calling and power the Contacts and Favourites tabs. The lookup is done offline, on the device. - Notification content from other apps. If you turn on the optional notification-access setting (Android's
BIND_NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE), the App reads the notifications posted by your messaging apps (for example WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, Telegram) so it can list the messages you have not opened yet. The sender name, the message preview text, the source app package name and the timestamp are saved in the App's local storage on your device only, so that the "unseen" list survives a restart. You can clear this list inside the App at any time, and revoking notification access in Android settings stops the collection immediately. - Your spam and block lists. The phone numbers you mark as spam or block are saved locally so the call-screening service can silence them, including when the App is closed.
- Your in-app settings. Language, theme, onboarding state and similar preferences.
Uninstalling the App deletes all of the on-device data described above.
1.2 Information collected automatically and sent to third parties
Because the App is free and supported by advertising, our advertising, analytics and attribution partners (listed in Section 3) automatically receive:
- Device and advertising identifiers — the Android advertising ID (the App declares
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID), the Firebase installation/app-instance ID, and the identifiers our attribution partner generates. - Device and technical information — device model, manufacturer, operating-system version, language, screen and app version.
- Approximate location derived from your IP address — country/region level. The App does not request or use the Android fine or coarse location permissions and never accesses GPS.
- App activity — screens opened, taps on the main features, ad impressions, clicks and ad revenue events. These events carry no contact names, no phone numbers and no message content.
- App presence (installed apps). To route the missed-message tracker to the right app, the App checks whether certain messaging apps (for example WhatsApp, Messenger, Telegram, Instagram) are installed on your device. Our advertising and attribution partners may also collect information about the apps present on your device. This is what we declare as "Installed apps" in our Google Play Data safety section.
- Crash logs and diagnostics — stack traces, device state at the time of a crash and performance data.
We do not collect your call log or SMS. The App declares no call-log, SMS or phone-state permission (the earlier READ_CALL_LOG and READ_PHONE_STATE declarations were removed and are now explicitly stripped from the manifest), and it has no feature that reads them. The App has no subscriptions and no in-app purchases, so we collect no purchase or payment information of any kind.
2. How we use information
- Provide and operate the App: identify callers, screen blocked and spam numbers, list unopened messages, place a call through your phone's dialler at your request.
- Remember your preferences (language, theme, block list) between sessions.
- Show advertising and measure it, including frequency capping and ad revenue measurement.
- Attribute installs and measure the performance of our marketing campaigns.
- Analyse aggregate usage and fix bugs and crashes so we can improve the App.
- Deliver remote configuration so we can adjust features and ad placements without shipping a new build.
- Prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the App and our partners secure.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. Third-party services
The App includes the following third-party software development kits. Each one operates under its own privacy policy:
| Service | Provider | Purpose | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads | Serving banner, native, interstitial and other standard ad formats; ad measurement | policies.google.com/privacy | |
| Google Firebase — Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config | Usage analytics, crash reporting, remote feature configuration | firebase.google.com/support/privacy | |
| Google Play services | Core platform services, advertising ID and ad-consent | policies.google.com/privacy | |

| Mintegral | Mintegral International Ltd. | Mediated advertising | mintegral.com/en/privacy |
| Liftoff Monetize (Vungle) | Liftoff Mobile, Inc. | Mediated advertising | liftoff.io/privacy-policy |

Ad consent. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the App shows Google's User Messaging Platform consent form before personalized advertising is enabled, and it reads the resulting IAB Transparency and Consent Framework signal. You can change your choice later from the ad-settings entry in the App or by clearing the App's data.
Resetting or limiting your advertising ID. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of ad personalization in Settings → Google → Ads. Deleting the advertising ID stops apps and SDKs on your device from receiving it.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share your contacts, your notification content, your message previews or your block list with anyone — that data never leaves your device.
We share the automatically collected data described in Section 1.2 with the partners listed in Section 3, for the purposes stated there. We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to a valid legal request, to enforce our Terms, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this Policy continues to apply.
Because the App can serve personalized advertising where you consent to it, some United States state privacy laws treat sharing device and advertising identifiers with advertising partners as a "sale" or as "sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising". You can opt out at any time by declining or withdrawing ad-personalization consent in the App, by resetting or deleting your advertising ID as described above, or by contacting us at the address in Section 12.
5. Legal bases (European Economic Area and United Kingdom)
- Consent — personalized advertising, and analytics where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests — operating and securing the App, non-personalized advertising that keeps the App free, aggregated product improvement and crash diagnostics.
- Legal obligation — meeting tax, accounting and other legal requirements.
6. Data retention
- On-device data (contacts cache, unopened-message list, block and spam lists, settings) stays on your device until you clear it in the App, clear the App's storage, or uninstall the App.
- Analytics and attribution identifiers are retained by our partners under their own retention schedules — typically up to 14 months for Google Analytics for Firebase event data and up to 2 years for attribution data.
- Crash and diagnostic reports are retained for a limited period (generally up to 90 days) and then deleted.
7. Your rights
European Economic Area and United Kingdom (GDPR). You have the right to access, correct, delete, port, object to and restrict the processing of your personal data, to withdraw consent at any time, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know what personal information is collected and disclosed, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of its sale or sharing and of targeted advertising, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
Other regions. Residents of Brazil (LGPD), Canada (PIPEDA) and other jurisdictions with comparable laws have equivalent rights.
Because Ringlo has no accounts and no server-side profile of you, the only identifier that can link a request to data held by our partners is your advertising ID. To exercise a right, email us at contact@tranquilmind.co and include your advertising ID, your device model and your Android version. We will respond within the time limits set by applicable law.
8. Children's privacy
Ringlo is intended for users aged 13 and over (or the higher minimum age of digital consent in your country, such as 16 in parts of the European Economic Area). The App is not directed to children, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and the App is not enrolled in Google Play's Designed for Families programme. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will delete what we hold.
Child Safety Standards (CSAE)
Tranquil Mind Technology JSC and the Ringlo app operate a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in every form — image, video, audio, text or computer-generated content. Sexualization of minors, grooming, sextortion, solicitation, trafficking, and any attempt to create, request, share, promote or seek such material are strictly prohibited.
Ringlo is a caller-identification and call-management utility. It provides no chat, no messaging, no comments, no user profiles, no user-to-user content sharing and no hosted or user-generated content of any kind. All contact and message-notification data is processed locally on the user's own device and is never uploaded to us or exposed to any other user, so the App offers no channel through which CSAE material could be created, distributed or discovered.
If anyone becomes aware of CSAE-related conduct connected to Ringlo, report it to contact@tranquilmind.co. We review every report, terminate access for any user or partner found in violation, cooperate fully with law enforcement, and report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and to the competent local authorities. We comply with applicable child-safety laws and align our practices with the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy.
Child-safety point of contact: contact@tranquilmind.co (Tranquil Mind Technology JSC, developer of Ringlo).
9. International data transfers
We are based in Vietnam, and our advertising, analytics and attribution partners operate globally. Your information may therefore be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States and the European Union. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Data security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) for all network traffic, keep on-device data in the App's private, sandboxed storage, and apply reasonable technical and organisational measures. Keeping your sensitive data on your device — rather than on a server — is a deliberate design choice. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date and, where required, notified in the App. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated Policy.
