App: Veilo: Private Browser & VPN Effective: July 28, 2026 Last Updated: July 28, 2026

Veilo ("the App", "we", "us", "our"), operated by Tranquil Mind Technology JSC, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the App, you agree to this Policy.

Veilo is a private web browser with a built-in free VPN: it routes your device's internet connection through an encrypted VPN tunnel and provides a browser to access the open web. You do not need to create an account to use it, and the App does not ask you to sign in.

1. Information We Collect

We do not require you to provide your name, email, or other personal contact details to use the App. We do not ask for camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, photos, or precise-location access.

Information collected automatically

When you use the App, our service providers and advertising partners may collect:

Information stored only on your device (not collected by us)

The following stay on your device and are not transmitted to us: your browsing history, bookmarks, tabs, and search-engine preference, and app settings. Incognito tabs do not retain history, and you can clear your browsing history at any time in the App.

A note on VPN traffic. A VPN works by routing your internet traffic through a remote server. The App's free servers are provided by third-party and community-operated VPN endpoints; we do not use your VPN traffic to build a profile of you or to sell your browsing activity. Please review the "Third-Party Services" and "Data Security" sections below, and note that the operators of the VPN servers your traffic passes through are third parties with their own practices.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information above to:

We do not use your data to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, which may process the data described above. Each has its own privacy policy:

Ad consent (UMP / IAB TCF). In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other regions where required, the App presents a consent request (via Google's User Messaging Platform and the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework) before showing personalized ads, and on iOS an App Tracking Transparency prompt. Your choice determines whether ads and identifiers are used for personalization.
Resetting or limiting your advertising ID. You can reset or delete your advertising identifier, or opt out of ad personalization, in your device settings: Android → Settings → Privacy / Google → Ads; iOS → Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking / Apple Advertising.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only:

U.S. state privacy notice. Because the App shows advertising that may be personalized using device and advertising identifiers, our use of those identifiers for targeted advertising may be considered "sharing" or "sale" under certain U.S. state privacy laws (for example, California's CPRA). You can opt out by declining personalization in the in-app consent prompt (where shown) and by resetting/limiting your advertising ID as described in Section 3.

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: consent (for personalized advertising and any processing that requires it); legitimate interests (operating the App, security and fraud prevention, and improving stability); and legal obligation (responding to lawful requests). You may withdraw consent at any time.

6. Data Retention

We and our providers retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described or as required by law. Advertising and analytics identifiers are retained according to each partner's retention schedule; crash and diagnostic data are retained for a limited period to investigate issues. Data stored only on your device (browsing history, bookmarks, settings) remains until you clear it or uninstall the App.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of the "sale"/"sharing" of personal information or targeted advertising. EEA/UK users may also lodge a complaint with their data protection authority. Residents of other regions (e.g. LGPD in Brazil, PIPEDA in Canada) have comparable rights.

Because the App has no accounts, we may not hold information that identifies you by name. To exercise a right, contact us at the email below and, so we can locate any relevant data, include your device advertising ID and relevant details (device model, approximate date/time of use).

8. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users 13 years of age and older (or the higher minimum age of digital consent in your country) and is not directed to children under that age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it. Parents and guardians should note that the built-in browser can access the open internet; consider supervising younger users accordingly.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our service providers operate. Where required, we and our providers use appropriate safeguards (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses) for these transfers.

10. Data Security

Data transmitted by the App and its SDKs is protected in transit using industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS), and the VPN connection itself is carried over an encrypted OpenVPN tunnel. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. A VPN increases privacy but is not absolute anonymity.

11. Third-Party Content

The built-in browser lets you access websites and content operated by third parties. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, sites, or services, or their privacy practices. Please review the policies of any site you visit.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
