Privacy Policy
Vaultix Browser ("the App", "we", "us", "our"), operated by Tranquil Mind Technology JSC, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the App, you agree to this Policy.
Vaultix Browser is a private, lightweight web browser with a built-in ad blocker and tracker protection. You do not need to create an account to use it.
1. Information We Collect
We designed Vaultix to keep as much as possible on your device. We do not operate user accounts and we do not upload your browsing content to our servers.
a) Stored only on your device (not collected by us)
- Your browsing history, open tabs, and quick-access shortcuts.
- Your ad-block settings and preferences.
- Your chosen language, theme, and app settings.
These are saved locally on your device (and are removed when you clear the App's data or uninstall it). They are not transmitted to us.
b) Collected automatically through third-party SDKs (leaves the device)
- Device and advertising identifiers — e.g. the Android Advertising ID (GAID) and similar device identifiers, used for advertising, analytics, and fraud/invalid-traffic prevention.
- Approximate location — coarse, IP-derived location (not GPS). The App does not request precise/GPS location permission; approximate location is inferred by our advertising and analytics partners from your IP address for ad delivery and measurement.
- App activity and analytics events — in-app interactions and feature usage (for example, screens opened, ad interactions), used to understand and improve the App.
- Crash logs and diagnostics — crash reports and performance diagnostics that help us fix bugs and improve stability.
- Purchase status — whether you hold an active Premium subscription (processed through Google Play Billing; we do not receive your card or bank details).
We do not collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or precise GPS location.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide and operate the App and its core browsing and ad-blocking features.
- To show advertising and measure its performance (for users who have not subscribed to Premium).
- For analytics and product improvement.
- For fraud prevention, security, and detecting invalid ad traffic.
- To process and validate Premium subscriptions.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Third-Party Services
The App relies on the following third-party services, which may process data as described. Each has its own privacy policy:
| Service | Purpose | Data involved | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config) | Analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration | App activity, device identifiers, crash logs, diagnostics | firebase.google.com/support/privacy · policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google AdMob and ad mediation partners | Advertising and measurement | Advertising ID, device identifiers, IP-based approximate location, app activity | policies.google.com/technologies/ads · support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543 |
| Adjust | Attribution and marketing measurement | Device/advertising identifiers, IP address | adjust.com/terms/privacy-policy |
| Meta / Facebook | Attribution and measurement (and, where enabled, ad mediation) | Device/advertising identifiers | facebook.com/privacy/policy |
| Google Play Billing | Processing subscriptions | Purchase status | policies.google.com/privacy |
Ad mediation may route ad requests to additional advertising networks; where it does, those networks process advertising identifiers and IP-derived data under their own policies.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share data with the third-party services listed in Section 3 so they can provide advertising, analytics, attribution, and payment processing; for legal reasons (to comply with law or lawful requests); and in a business transfer (merger, acquisition, or asset sale).
5. Legal Bases (EEA/UK — GDPR)
- Consent — for personalized advertising and, where required, analytics.
- Legitimate interests — core functionality, security, fraud prevention, and product improvement.
- Contract / legal obligation — processing your Premium subscription and meeting legal duties.
You may withdraw consent at any time (see Sections 3 and 7).
6. Data Retention
We keep information only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law. Advertising and analytics identifiers are retained according to each partner's retention periods; crash and diagnostic data are kept for a limited period to investigate and fix issues. On-device data (history, settings) remains until you clear the App's data or uninstall.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- GDPR (EEA/UK): access, correct, delete, port, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
- CCPA/CPRA (California): know, delete, correct, opt out of the "sale"/"sharing" of personal information and of targeted advertising, and non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
- Other regions (e.g. LGPD, PIPEDA): comparable rights under local law.
To exercise a right, email us at the address in Section 13. Because the App has no accounts, please include your advertising ID (and device model/OS) in your request so we can identify the relevant data with our partners.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for users 18 years of age or older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it. Where required, we apply the higher local age of digital consent.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our service providers operate. Where required, we and our partners rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).
10. Data Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Third-Party Content
Vaultix is a web browser that lets you access third-party websites and content. We do not control, endorse, or take responsibility for the content, practices, or privacy policies of the websites you visit. Please review those sites' own policies.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
