Privacy Policy
Vantis Browser ("the App", "we", "us", "our"), operated by Tranquil Mind Technology JSC, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what the App collects, how that information is used and shared, and the choices and rights you have. By using the App, you agree to this Policy.
Vantis Browser is a private mobile web browser for Android. It lets you search or open web addresses, keep several tabs open and close them individually or all at once, jump to popular sites through eight built-in shortcut tiles, block web advertising, trackers and pop-ups with an on-device blocker, watch a live counter of blocked ads and pop-ups together with a protection timer, pick from 21 interface languages, set the App as your default browser, and optionally subscribe to Premium to remove in-app advertising. The App has no user account. There is no registration, no login, no profile, no cloud sync, no messaging and no user-to-user content — you can use every feature without telling us who you are.
1. Information we collect
We never ask you for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files, calendar or precise location. There is no form in the App that requests personal details.
Two categories of information exist: what stays only on your device (Section 1.1), and what is collected automatically by the App and the third-party services in Section 3 (Sections 1.2 to 1.6).
1.1 What never leaves your device — your browsing
This is the point that matters most in a browser:
- Web addresses, page content, open tabs, search terms typed in the address bar, cookies, cache and site data are handled by the Android WebView engine and kept inside the App's private, sandboxed storage. We operate no server that receives them, so there is nothing for us to upload, back up or hand over.
- The App keeps no browsing history feature and stores no history database. Closing a tab, clearing the App's storage or uninstalling the App removes the locally stored data.
- The ad, tracker and pop-up blocker runs fully offline. Its blocklist (around 250 advertising and tracking domains compiled from the public EasyList and EasyPrivacy projects) is built into the App binary. No page you open is sent to us or to any remote blocklist service for a lookup.
- No analytics event, log field or crash report produced by the App carries a URL, page title, domain or search query. The events listed in Section 1.5 record only that a screen was opened or a button was tapped.
- The counters you see on the Block Ad screen (ads blocked, pop-ups blocked, protection duration) are calculated and stored locally.
- The App does not read the list of apps installed on your device. It holds no
QUERY_ALL_PACKAGESpermission and links no installed-apps library. It declares only the narrow Android 11+<queries>entries needed to open a link in your browser or email app, share text, and open the Play Store — which reveal nothing about the rest of your apps.
1.2 Device and app information
Device model and manufacturer, operating system version, screen metrics, language and region settings, time zone, network connection type, App version and build number. Used to run the App correctly, deliver the right remote configuration, serve and measure advertising, and investigate problems.
1.3 Identifiers
- Advertising ID (Google Advertising ID / GAID) — a resettable identifier supplied by Android and used by the advertising, analytics and attribution services in Section 3. The App declares
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_IDfor this purpose. - App-instance identifiers — the Firebase installation / app-instance ID used by Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics and Remote Config, and an installation identifier used by Adjust for attribution.
- Google Play install referrer — read through
BIND_GET_INSTALL_REFERRER_SERVICEso we can tell which campaign or store listing brought you to the App. - Android Privacy Sandbox signals — the bundled advertising libraries may use Android's Ad Services APIs (
ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID,ACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTION,ACCESS_ADSERVICES_TOPICS,ACCESS_ADSERVICES_CUSTOM_AUDIENCE) where your device supports them.
1.4 Approximate location derived from your IP address
The App requests no location permission and never reads GPS, Wi-Fi or cell positioning. Our service providers may infer an approximate location — usually country or city level — from the IP address your device presents, for advertising delivery, analytics, fraud prevention and regional configuration.
1.5 App activity and diagnostics
Anonymous interaction events and screen views, such as: splash screen shown, language screen opened, a language or region selected, an onboarding step completed, the interest topic you optionally tap during onboarding, search bar tapped, browser or tab screen opened, new tab created, close-all-tabs tapped, ad blocking toggled, Settings rows tapped (rate, feedback, share, privacy, terms), subscription screen opened and purchase outcome. These events state that an action happened — never what you browsed.
Crash reports and stability diagnostics (stack traces, exception messages, device state at the time of the crash, App version) are collected through Firebase Crashlytics.
1.6 Advertising and purchase status
- The free version displays advertising in banner, native and full-screen formats through Google AdMob and its mediation partners. Those partners receive your advertising ID, IP address, device and App information, IP-derived coarse location and ad interactions (impressions, clicks) to select, cap, render and measure ads and to detect invalid traffic.
- The App uses Google Play Billing for optional Premium subscriptions. Google Play reports whether your Google account holds an active subscription to one of our products and returns the localized price and offer details shown on the subscription screen. We never see or store your payment card, billing address or Google account credentials.
- When a purchase or renewal completes, the App reports the subscription event — the product identifier, price and currency — to our attribution partner (Adjust, Section 3.1) so that campaign spend can be measured against revenue. That report carries no payment details and no identity beyond the advertising and installation identifiers already described in Section 1.3.
1.7 What the websites you visit receive
When you open a site in Vantis Browser it behaves like any other browser: the site receives your IP address and user-agent string, can read cookies it previously set and can set new ones (third-party cookies are enabled by default so that ordinary sites work). Text you type in the address bar that is not a web address is sent as a query to the default search provider used by the App, currently Google Search. This data is collected by those third parties under their policies, not ours — see Section 10.
2. How we use information
- Operate the App — render pages, keep your tabs, apply your language and blocking preference, and maintain the on-screen protection timer and counters.
- Deliver and measure advertising — show ads in the free version, cap their frequency, count impressions and clicks and detect invalid traffic.
- Configure the App remotely — Firebase Remote Config lets us adjust settings such as ad placement and feature toggles without shipping a new build.
- Measure installs and campaigns — attribution SDKs report, in aggregate, which marketing source an install came from.
- Improve the App — anonymous, aggregated usage and screen analytics.
- Keep the App stable — crash and diagnostic reporting.
- Sell, restore and honour Premium — verify with Google Play whether an active subscription exists and switch advertising off when it does.
- Send optional reminders — local re-engagement notifications, only if you granted the notification permission.
- Comply with law — respond to lawful requests and enforce our Terms.
3. Third-party services
The App bundles the software development kits (SDKs) below. Each is listed with the data it may receive.
3.1 Analytics, diagnostics and configuration — active
| Service | Provider | Purpose | Data it may receive | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Firebase Analytics | Google LLC | Anonymous usage and screen analytics | App-instance ID, device and App info, IP-derived approximate location, in-app events | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Google LLC | Crash and stability reporting | Crashlytics installation UUID, stack traces, device state, App version | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Firebase Remote Config | Google LLC | Remote configuration of the App | App-instance ID, device and App info, IP address | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Adjust | Adjust GmbH | Install attribution and marketing measurement | Advertising ID, device info, IP address, install referrer, App events, subscription purchase events (product, price, currency) | adjust.com/terms/privacy-policy |
| Meta (Facebook) SDK for Android | Meta Platforms, Inc. | Helps Adjust attribute installs originating from Meta ads | Advertising ID, device info, IP address, install and App events | facebook.com/about/privacy |
Adjust and the Meta SDK start working only once the corresponding measurement tokens are delivered through Remote Config; with no token configured they perform no tracking.
3.2 Advertising — active in the free version
| Service | Provider | Purpose | Data it may receive | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Google LLC | Serving and measuring in-app ads | Advertising ID, IP address, device and App info, ad interactions | policies.google.com/technologies/ads |
| Meta Audience Network | Meta Platforms, Inc. | AdMob mediation ad source | Advertising ID, IP address, device info, ad interactions | facebook.com/about/privacy |
| AppLovin | AppLovin Corporation | AdMob mediation ad source | Advertising ID, IP address, device info, ad interactions | applovin.com/privacy |
| Pangle | Bytedance Pte. Ltd. | AdMob mediation ad source | Advertising ID, IP address, device info, ad interactions | pangleglobal.com/privacy |
| Mintegral | Mintegral International Limited | AdMob mediation ad source | Advertising ID, IP address, device info, ad interactions | mintegral.com/en/privacy |
| Unity Ads | Unity Technologies | AdMob mediation ad source | Advertising ID, IP address, device info, ad interactions | unity.com/legal/privacy-policy |
| Liftoff Monetize (Vungle) | Vungle, Inc. (Liftoff) | AdMob mediation ad source | Advertising ID, IP address, device info, ad interactions | vungle.com/privacy |
| InMobi | InMobi Pte. Ltd. | AdMob mediation ad source | Advertising ID, IP address, device info, ad interactions | inmobi.com/privacy-policy |
| DT Exchange (Fyber) | Digital Turbine, Inc. | AdMob mediation ad source | Advertising ID, IP address, device info, ad interactions | digitalturbine.com/privacy-policy |
| Moloco | Moloco, Inc. | AdMob mediation ad source (bidding) | Advertising ID, IP address, device info, ad interactions | moloco.com/privacy-policy |
| Chartboost | Chartboost, Inc. | AdMob mediation ad source | Advertising ID, IP address, device info, ad interactions | chartboost.com/privacy |
Which of these are actually in the App today. Only three mediation adapters are compiled into the current build: Meta Audience Network, AppLovin and Unity Ads. The remaining sources are listed because they can be switched on for the App from the AdMob console without a new release; until that happens, no adapter for them ships in the App and they receive nothing. In every case a mediation source only receives an ad request — and therefore data — when it is enabled and configured for the App in the AdMob console.
Personalised advertising and consent. The App does not currently display an in-app consent form for advertising. Where the EU/UK GDPR or another consent-based law applies, your choices are exercised through the device-level and account-level controls described in Section 3.3 and Section 7.1 — resetting or deleting your advertising ID, and turning on Android's opt-out of ads personalisation — which our advertising partners are required to honour. Ads shown to a user who has opted out are non-personalised, and continue to use the IP address and coarse device signals for frequency capping, fraud prevention and reporting. If we add an in-app consent form in a future release, this Policy will be updated before it ships.
3.3 Controls over the advertising identifier
Reset or delete it. On Android, open Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID / Delete advertising ID (on some devices Settings → Privacy → Ads). Deleting the identifier stops apps from receiving a personalised ID.
Remove ads altogether. A Premium subscription switches off in-app advertising. Analytics, crash reporting and attribution continue exactly as described in this Policy.
3.4 Purchases and store services — active
| Service | Provider | Purpose | Data it may receive | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google Play Billing | Google LLC | Selling, restoring and validating Premium subscriptions | Purchase status of our products on your Google account, device and Play information | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google Play In-App Review | Google LLC | Showing the optional rating prompt | Play Store account and device information handled by Google | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google Play Store (version check) | Google LLC | Checking whether a newer version of the App exists | Package name and version, device and Play information | policies.google.com/privacy |
All payments are processed by Google Play. We never receive your payment details.
3.5 Services you reach through the App
| Service | Role |
|---|---|
| Google Search (default address-bar search provider) | Receives the queries you type when the input is not a web address |
| Any website you open, including the eight shortcut tiles (Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok, Dailymotion, Google, IMDb) | Independent third-party sites governed by their own policies; the tiles are plain links and no data is exchanged with those sites until you tap one |
| Your email app, the Android share sheet and the Google Play Store | Opened only when you tap Feedback, Share or Rate |
We neither control nor take responsibility for the data practices of these third parties.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we never share your browsing activity with anyone — we do not have it.
The limited data described above is shared only:
- with the service providers listed in Section 3, for the purposes stated there;
- where required by law, legal process or a valid government request, or to protect our rights, safety or property, or to investigate fraud and abuse;
- in connection with a merger, acquisition or asset sale, in which case a notice will be posted.
U.S. state privacy laws. We do not sell personal information for money. However, when personalised advertising is active, disclosing your advertising ID and related device signals to the partners in Section 3.2 may qualify as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising, or as a "sale", under California and other U.S. state privacy laws. To opt out: decline personalised advertising in the consent form, reset or delete your advertising ID (Section 3.3), enable your device's opt-out-of-ads-personalisation setting, or contact us using Section 12.
5. Legal bases for processing (EEA / UK — GDPR)
- Consent — personalised advertising, plus analytics and marketing measurement where local law requires consent. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests — operating and securing the App, crash diagnostics, aggregated non-personalised analytics, frequency capping and fraud prevention.
- Performance of a contract — providing the App and delivering or restoring a subscription you purchased.
- Legal obligation — retaining records and answering lawful requests.
6. Data retention
- Locally stored data (open tabs, cookies, cache, site data, language, blocking preference and the block counters) stays on your device until you clear the App's storage or uninstall it. We keep no copy.
- Analytics and crash data are retained by Google for the periods set in the Firebase documentation and our project settings — typically up to 14 months for event-level analytics, and a limited diagnostic window for crash records.
- Advertising and attribution data are retained by the partners in Sections 3.1 and 3.2 under our agreements and their own policies, generally for as long as ad delivery, billing and campaign measurement require.
- Subscription records are held by Google Play under Google's retention rules.
- Support emails are kept only as long as needed to resolve your request and to meet legal obligations.
7. Your rights and choices
7.1 Controls inside the App and on your device
- Clear everything the App stored — Android Settings → Apps → Vantis Browser → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall the App.
- Turn blocking on or off — the toggle on the Block Ad screen.
- Reset or delete your advertising ID — Section 3.3.
- Change your advertising consent — use the device controls above (reset or delete the advertising ID, and turn on Android's opt-out of ads personalisation). The App itself shows no consent form; see Section 3.2.
- Stop notifications — Android Settings → Apps → Vantis Browser → Notifications, or simply decline the permission prompt.
- Manage or cancel a subscription — Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
7.2 GDPR (EEA / UK)
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict and port your personal data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, to withdraw consent at any time, and to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
7.3 CCPA / CPRA (California) and other U.S. states
You have the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used and disclosed, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of its sale or sharing and of targeted advertising, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and not to be treated differently for exercising these rights. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
7.4 Other regions
Residents of Brazil (LGPD), Canada (PIPEDA) and other jurisdictions with comparable laws hold equivalent rights of access, correction, deletion and objection.
7.5 How to exercise your rights
Write to contact@tranquilmind.co. Because the App has no account, a name or email alone cannot identify you in our providers' records: please include your Android advertising ID, your device model and the approximate installation date. We reply within the period applicable law requires, and use the information you send only to handle your request.
8. Children's privacy
Vantis Browser is intended for users aged 13 or over, or the higher age of digital consent in your country. It is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children.
The App opens the public internet, and the pages reachable through it are neither produced nor filtered by us. Parents and guardians should supervise younger users and consider Android Family Link parental controls together with the safe-search settings of the search provider.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK where a higher age applies). If you believe a child has provided personal information, write to contact@tranquilmind.co and we will delete it along with any associated identifiers.
9. International data transfers
We are based in Vietnam and our providers operate globally, including in the United States, the European Union and Singapore. Your information may therefore be processed outside your country of residence, where data protection rules can differ. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
10. Data security and third-party websites
Traffic between the App and our service providers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS), and everything the App stores stays in Android's private, sandboxed app storage protected by the operating system.
Like other browsers, the App still permits plain-text http:// connections so that older sites remain reachable. Such traffic is not encrypted by the site itself — check for https:// and the padlock before entering sensitive information on any page.
We do not create, own, endorse, moderate or control the websites, services, advertisements or content you reach through the App, including the sites behind the shortcut tiles. Anything you submit to a website goes to that website, not to us, and is governed by its own terms and privacy policy. Please read the policy of every site you use. The built-in blocker reduces but cannot eliminate advertising, pop-ups and tracking on the pages you visit.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy — for example when advertising partners or features change. Material changes are posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and where the law requires it we will ask for your consent again. Continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
