Privacy Policy

TurboVid ("the App", "we", "us", "our"), operated by Tranquil Mind Technology JSC, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the App, you agree to this Policy.

TurboVid is a video downloader with a built-in web browser that lets you save videos from pages that allow downloading and view them offline, together with a media player and file manager. You do not need to create an account to use it.

1. Information We Collect

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or precise (GPS) location. The App collects only the following data, and only to operate, secure, and improve the service and to show ads:

• Device and advertising identifiers — including the Android Advertising ID and similar device/installation identifiers, used by our advertising, attribution, and analytics partners.
• Approximate location — a coarse, city-level location derived from your IP address by our ad and analytics partners for ad delivery and measurement. This is not GPS location; the App does not request location permission.
• App activity / interactions — how you use the App (features opened, actions taken, session and diagnostic events) for analytics and advertising measurement.
• Crash logs and diagnostics — crash reports, error logs, and performance data to fix bugs and improve stability.
• Purchase status — your subscription/purchase state from Google Play Billing (e.g. whether you have an active Premium plan), used to unlock features and remove ads. Payment card details are handled by Google Play and are never received by us.

Stored only on your device (not collected by us)

• Your browsing history, bookmarks, search queries, and the media and files you download are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers. Deleting the App or clearing its data removes them.

2. How We Use Information

• Provide and operate the App and its core features.
• Display and measure advertising, including personalized ads where permitted.
• Analyze usage to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the App.
• Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security issues.
• Process and validate purchases and subscriptions.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share data only with the third-party services listed in Section 3, for the purposes described; for legal reasons (to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights and safety); and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or other business transfer.

• Consent — for personalized ads and, where required, analytics; you may withdraw consent at any time.
• Legitimate interests — for core functionality, security, fraud prevention, and product improvement.
• Contract / legal obligation — to process purchases and meet legal requirements.

6. Data Retention

We keep data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law. Advertising, attribution, and analytics identifiers are retained per each partner's retention periods; crash and diagnostic data are kept for a limited period needed to diagnose and fix issues. Data stored locally on your device remains until you delete it or uninstall the App.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict your personal data; to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing; and to opt out of the "sale"/"sharing" of personal information and targeted advertising. EEA/UK users may lodge a complaint with their data protection authority. California (CCPA/CPRA) and other regions (e.g. LGPD, PIPEDA) provide comparable rights, including non-discrimination for exercising them.

Because the App has no user accounts, please include your advertising ID and device details when you contact us so we can locate and act on any data associated with your device. To make a request, email contact@tranquilmind.co.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 16 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our service providers operate. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses).

10. Data Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Third-Party Content

The App includes a web browser that lets you access websites and content operated by third parties. We do not own, control, host, or endorse that content, and we are not responsible for it or for the privacy practices of the sites you visit. Please review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party website you use.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date; your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
