Privacy Policy
Swift Secure VPN ("the App", "we", "us", "our"), operated by Tranquil Mind Technology JSC, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the App, you agree to this Policy.
Swift Secure VPN is a free, ad-supported VPN application that establishes an encrypted connection ("tunnel") to help make your browsing more private. You do not need to create an account or sign in to use it.
1. Information We Collect
We do not ask you to provide personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number, and the App has no login or user account.
The App and the third-party services it uses automatically collect certain information when you use it:
- Device and advertising identifiers — including the Google Advertising ID (AAID), a Firebase installation/app-instance ID, and a push notification (FCM) token. These identifiers are also used by our mobile attribution and measurement partner (Adjust) to attribute installs and measure advertising performance.
- IP address and approximate (coarse) location — your IP address is inherently processed to route your VPN connection, and our advertising partners may infer an approximate, city/region-level location from it for ad delivery. In addition, when you open a connection-details or server-location screen, the App sends an IP address (the VPN server's IP, or — when you are not connected — your current network's IP) to a third-party IP-geolocation service (ip-api.com) to display the approximate country, region, city and ISP for that IP. The App does not request device-level GPS/precise location permission, and the in-app "server locations" are VPN server countries you choose, not your physical location.
- App activity and interactions — screens viewed, features used, and in-app events, for analytics.
- Crash logs and diagnostics — crash reports, error data, and basic performance/diagnostic information to keep the App stable.
- Connection data — non-content technical data needed to establish and maintain the VPN session (such as the server you selected and connection status).
2. How We Use Information
We use the information above to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the VPN connection and core features of the App;
- Display and measure advertising, including through mediation partners;
- Attribute app installs and measure marketing and advertising performance;
- Show the approximate location (country, region, city, ISP) of the VPN server you connect to;
- Understand usage and improve the App (analytics);
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, invalid traffic, and security issues;
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
3. Third-Party Services
The App integrates the following third-party SDKs and services, which may receive and process data as described. Each provider handles data under its own privacy policy:
| Provider | Purpose | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google — Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, Remote Config, Firestore) | Analytics, crash reporting, push, configuration | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google AdMob | Advertising and ad measurement | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Meta (Facebook SDK & Audience Network) | Advertising (mediation) and app-event measurement | facebook.com/about/privacy |
| Adjust | Mobile install attribution and marketing measurement | adjust.com/terms/privacy-policy |
| Pangle (ByteDance) | Advertising (mediation) | pangleglobal.com/privacy |
| Liftoff / Vungle | Advertising (mediation) | vungle.com/privacy |
| Mintegral | Advertising (mediation) | mintegral.com/en/privacy |
| Unity Ads | Advertising (mediation) | unity.com/legal/privacy-policy |
| ip-api.com | IP-to-approximate-location lookup (country/region/city/ISP) for the connection-details display | ip-api.com/docs/legal |
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share the automatically-collected data described above with the third-party providers listed in Section 3 so they can perform their services (advertising, attribution/measurement, analytics, crash reporting, messaging, and IP geolocation).
Because the App serves personalized advertising, some U.S. state privacy laws (e.g. California's CPRA) may treat the sharing of advertising identifiers with ad partners for targeted advertising as a "sale" or "sharing." You can opt out of this by resetting/limiting your advertising ID and declining ad-personalization consent as described in Section 3.
We may also disclose information: (a) to comply with law, legal process, or lawful government requests; (b) to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or us; and (c) in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
5. Legal Bases (EEA/UK — GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: consent (for personalized advertising and, where required, analytics); legitimate interests (operating and securing the App, preventing fraud, and improving the service); and legal obligation (responding to lawful requests). You may withdraw consent at any time.
6. Data Retention
We retain automatically-collected data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described, or as required by law. Advertising and analytics identifiers are retained according to each partner's retention schedule; crash and diagnostic data are kept for a limited period to investigate and fix issues.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- GDPR (EEA/UK): access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to processing; withdraw consent; and lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
- CCPA/CPRA (California): know, delete, and correct personal information; opt out of "sale"/"sharing" and targeted advertising; and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
- Other regions (e.g. LGPD in Brazil, PIPEDA in Canada): equivalent rights under local law.
To exercise a right, contact us at contact@tranquilmind.co. Because the App has no account, please include your Google Advertising ID and relevant device details so we can locate and act on any data associated with your device.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our service providers operate. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Data Security
Data transmitted by the App and its SDKs is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS, and your VPN traffic is carried through an encrypted tunnel. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information; however, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
11. Third-Party Sites and Content
When connected, the App routes your internet traffic through VPN servers, but we do not control and are not responsible for the third-party websites, services, or content you choose to access. Their collection and use of your information is governed by their own policies.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
