Privacy Policy

Stashvid ("the App", "we", "us", "our"), operated by Tranquil Mind Technology JSC, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the App, you agree to this Policy.

Stashvid lets you paste a link and save videos, images, music and documents to your device for offline access, and browse the web to find media to save. You do not need to create an account to use it.

1. Information we collect

Information collected automatically

• Device and advertising identifiers — including the Google Advertising ID (AAID), device model, operating-system version, language and country settings. Used by our advertising, attribution and analytics partners.
• Approximate location derived from IP address — coarse, country/region level. We do not collect GPS or precise location, and the App requests no location permission.
• App activity and diagnostics — screens opened, features used, download events, and crash reports with stack traces and device state.
• Network information — IP address and connection type, as part of ordinary internet communication with our partners' servers.

Information you provide

• Links you submit for download. When you paste a link, or tap Download on a page open in the in-app browser, that link (the web address) is sent to the source website and, for some websites, to a third-party link-processing service that finds the downloadable media file for us. The link is used only to return the media you asked for. We do not operate an account system and do not build a user profile from these links.

Information that stays on your device

• Downloaded files, bookmarks, in-app browsing history and folders. Apart from the individual links you submit for download (described above), these are stored locally on your device using the App's storage permissions and are not transmitted to us. Uninstalling the App or clearing its data removes them.

2. How we use information

• Provide and operate the App, including fetching and saving the media you request.
• Display advertising, including measuring ad performance and limiting repeated ads.
• Measure marketing attribution — understanding which campaign led to an install.
• Analytics and product improvement — understanding which features are used.
• Diagnose crashes and improve stability and security.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse and technical misuse.
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. Third-party services

The App integrates the following data-transmitting services. Each processes data under its own privacy policy:

Ad consent. Where required by law — including in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom — the App presents a consent form through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized advertising is enabled. You may change or withdraw your choice at any time by contacting us at the address in Section 13, or by limiting ad personalization in your Android settings as described below.

Resetting or limiting your advertising ID. You can reset your advertising identifier or opt out of ad personalization at any time in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. Doing so limits the use of your identifier for personalized advertising.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only:

• with the third-party services listed in Section 3, for the purposes described there;
• when required by law, regulation, legal process or an enforceable governmental request;
• to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or us;
• in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, where this Policy will continue to apply to the transferred information.

Note for United States residents. Sharing device and advertising identifiers with advertising partners for personalized advertising may be treated as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under certain U.S. state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended. You may opt out by declining personalized advertising in the consent form, or by limiting ad tracking in your Android settings as described above.

5. Legal bases (EEA/UK — GDPR)

• Consent — personalized advertising, and analytics where consent is required.
• Legitimate interests — operating the App, securing it against abuse, measuring aggregate performance and improving features.
• Legal obligation — retaining records or responding to lawful requests where the law requires it.

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.

6. Data retention

We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law. Our advertising, attribution and analytics partners retain identifiers according to their own published retention periods. Crash and diagnostic records are kept for a limited period sufficient to investigate and fix defects. Links you submit for download are processed only to retrieve the requested media and are not kept by us in a user profile; link-processing providers may keep short-term technical logs under their own policies. Files you download, and your bookmarks and history, remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App.

7. Your rights

EEA/UK (GDPR). You have the right to access, correct, delete, port, object to and restrict processing of your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with your national data-protection authority.

California (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of its sale or sharing and of targeted advertising, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

Other regions. Residents of Brazil (LGPD), Canada (PIPEDA) and other jurisdictions have comparable rights under their local law.

To exercise any right, contact us at the address in Section 13. Because the App has no accounts, we cannot identify you by name — please include your advertising ID and device model in your request so we can locate the relevant records with our partners.

8. Children's privacy

The App is intended for users aged 13 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under the higher age of digital consent that applies in your country (up to 16 in parts of the European Economic Area). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International data transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our service providers operate. Where required, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

10. Data security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) for communication with our partners' services and apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Third-party content

The App includes an in-app browser and can save media from third-party websites. Websites you open in the in-app browser receive your IP address and device information and may use cookies under their own policies, just as in any other browser. We do not own, control, endorse or take responsibility for that content or those websites, and their own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to download and use any content you save.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
