PDF Platinum ("the App", "we", "us", "our"), operated by Tranquil Mind Technology JSC, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the App, you agree to this Policy.
PDF Platinum is a document scanner and PDF toolkit that lets you scan, edit, sign, convert, protect and manage documents on your device. You do not need to create an account to use it.
1. Information We Collect
a) Information collected automatically
When you use the App, our third-party analytics and advertising partners automatically collect:
- Device and advertising identifiers (e.g. Android Advertising ID, app-instance identifiers).
- Approximate location derived from your IP address (city/country level) for advertising and analytics. We do not collect precise/GPS location.
- App activity — in-app interactions and feature usage.
- Crash logs and diagnostics — technical information about crashes and performance.
b) On-device content (not collected by us)
The App accesses your camera, photos/images, and files/documents only to let you scan, create, edit, convert and manage documents. This content is processed locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers or transmitted to us. We do not collect your documents, scans, or the text extracted by OCR.
We do not require an account and do not collect your name, email, contacts, or payment information. The App has no in-app purchases.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide, operate and maintain the App.
- Display and measure advertising (including personalized ads where you consent).
- Analytics and improvement of features and stability.
- Diagnose crashes and prevent fraud/abuse and secure the App.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. Third-Party Services
We rely on the following third-party SDKs that may process data off your device. Each is governed by its own privacy policy:

4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share the limited data described above with the third-party partners listed in Section 3 so they can provide advertising, analytics and crash-reporting on our behalf. We may also disclose information to comply with law, enforce our terms, or in a business transfer.
5. Legal Bases (EEA/UK — GDPR)
- Consent — personalized advertising and analytics where consent is required.
- Legitimate interests — core functionality, security, fraud prevention, and product improvement.
- Legal obligation — where processing is required by law.
6. Data Retention
We keep data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law. Advertising/analytics identifiers are retained per our partners' retention periods; crash and diagnostic data is retained for a limited period.
7. Your Rights
- GDPR (EEA/UK): access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, restriction, withdrawal of consent, and the right to complain to your Data Protection Authority.
- CCPA/CPRA (California) and other U.S. states: know, delete, correct, opt out of sale/sharing and targeted advertising, and non-discrimination.
- Other regions (e.g. LGPD in Brazil, PIPEDA in Canada): equivalent rights under local law.
To exercise your rights, contact us at the email in Section 12. Because the App has no account, please include your advertising ID / device details so we can locate the relevant data.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your region). If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses).
10. Data Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
