Privacy Policy
Noxen Browser ("the App", "Noxen", "we", "us", "our"), operated by Tranquil Mind Technology JSC, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the App, you agree to this Policy.
Noxen is a private, ad-blocking, multi-tab web browser. You do not need to create an account to use it. Noxen does not save your browsing history, and it blocks many common advertising and tracking domains on the web pages you visit. This Policy covers information handled by the App itself — not the third-party websites you choose to visit through it, which are governed by their own privacy policies.
1. Information we collect
We keep the App account-free and design it so your browsing stays on your device. We do not collect the web addresses you visit, your search queries, your tabs, or your browsing history on our servers.
Information you provide. Only what you send us directly — for example, if you email our support address. The App has no sign-up, profile, or content-submission forms.
Information collected automatically by the third-party tools built into the App (see Section 3). This is limited to:
- Device and advertising identifiers — such as the Android Advertising ID (GAID) / Apple equivalent, a Firebase app-instance ID, and identifiers used by our attribution partners.
- Approximate (coarse) location — derived from your IP address by our analytics and attribution partners; we do not request or use GPS/precise location, and the App holds no location permission.
- App activity / interactions — in-app events such as screens opened and features used, collected for analytics (never the contents of the pages you browse).
- Crash logs and diagnostics — technical information (device model, OS version, stack traces, performance data) captured when the App crashes or misbehaves, so we can fix it.
We store some settings only on your device (for example your language choice, onboarding state, and speed-dial layout) using local storage; this data does not leave your device and is not collected by us.
2. How we use information
We use the limited information above to:
- Operate and maintain the App and keep it stable and secure;
- Measure installs and app performance (attribution and analytics), including how features are used, so we can improve Noxen;
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and technical problems;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
We do not use your data to build advertising profiles inside the App, and Noxen does not display ads.
3. Third-party services
The App includes the following third-party SDKs, which may process the data described above. Each is governed by its own privacy policy:
| Service | Provider | Purpose | Policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Firebase Analytics | App-usage analytics | https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy | |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Crash reporting & diagnostics | https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy | |
| Firebase Remote Config | Remote app configuration | https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy | |
| Google Play Services / Advertising ID | Device & advertising identifiers | https://policies.google.com/privacy | |
| Adjust | Adjust GmbH | Install attribution & measurement | https://www.adjust.com/terms/privacy-policy/ |
| AppsFlyer | AppsFlyer Ltd. | Install attribution & measurement | https://www.appsflyer.com/legal/services-privacy-policy/ |
| Meta (Facebook) SDK | Meta Platforms, Inc. | Attribution support | https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy |
Advertising identifier — your control. The above tools may use a resettable advertising identifier. You can reset it or opt out of ad personalization at any time in your device settings: on Android, Settings → Privacy → Ads (reset or delete advertising ID); on iOS, Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking / Apple Advertising. Resetting the identifier limits attribution and analytics linkage.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money.
We share the limited data above with the analytics and attribution providers listed in Section 3 so they can perform those services for us. We share device/advertising identifiers with our attribution partners (Adjust, AppsFlyer, Meta) for advertising measurement — i.e. to know which campaigns led to an install. Depending on where you live (for example, California), sharing identifiers with such partners may be treated as "sharing" or "sale" under local law; see Section 7 for how to opt out (you can also reset/limit your advertising ID as in Section 3).
We may also disclose information: (a) to comply with law, legal process, or lawful government requests; (b) to protect the rights, safety, and property of users, the public, or us; and (c) in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, subject to this Policy.
5. Legal bases (EEA/UK — GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: consent (for analytics/attribution where consent is required); legitimate interests (operating, securing, and improving the App, and measuring installs); and legal obligation (responding to lawful requests). Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
6. Data retention
We keep information only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law. Analytics and attribution identifiers are retained according to each provider's standard retention periods; crash and diagnostic data is retained for a limited period to diagnose and fix issues. On-device settings persist until you clear the App's data or uninstall it.
7. Your rights
- GDPR (EEA/UK): access, correct, delete, port, object, restrict, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
- CCPA/CPRA (California): know, delete, correct, and opt out of the "sale"/"sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising; non-discrimination for exercising rights.
- Other regions (LGPD, PIPEDA, etc.): equivalent rights may apply.
Because the App has no accounts, please include your advertising ID and device details when contacting us so we can locate any associated data. Contact: contact@tranquilmind.co.
8. Children's privacy
Noxen is a general-purpose web browser intended for adults (18+). It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your region). As a browser, Noxen provides access to the open internet, which may contain material unsuitable for minors; parents and guardians should supervise minors' internet use. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at contact@tranquilmind.co and we will delete it.
9. International data transfers
Your data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, we and our partners use appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses).
10. Data security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and other reasonable measures to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
11. Third-party websites and content
Noxen is a browser: it loads websites operated by third parties. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, cookies, or data collection of those websites — including the sites reachable via the App's quick-launch shortcuts. Their names and logos belong to their respective owners, and their use as shortcuts does not imply any affiliation. Please review the privacy policies of the websites you visit.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new date; continued use of the App means you accept the updated Policy.
