Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Liora Chat mobile application ("the App"), operated by Tranquil Mind Technology JSC ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy (https://policy.tranquilmind.co/liora-chat/privacy). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the higher age of digital consent in your country) to use the App. The App is not directed to children. By using the App you confirm that you meet this requirement.
2. License
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on a device you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, translate, adapt, decompile, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the App, remove or obscure any notice in it, or resell or sublicense access to it, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits.
3. The service
Liora Chat lets you choose an AI character and hold text or voice conversations with it for company, reflection, and everyday questions. The App requires an internet connection: your messages are sent to a third-party large-language-model provider that generates the replies. Availability of characters, languages, and features may vary by region and change over time, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time.
4. AI-generated content — important notice
Replies in the App are generated automatically by an artificial-intelligence model. They are fictional and may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or inappropriate, and they do not represent our views. AI characters are fictional personas; they are not real people and any resemblance to a real person is coincidental.
The App is not a substitute for professional advice and is not a crisis service. Nothing in the App constitutes medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other professional advice. If you are in distress or in an emergency, contact your local emergency number or a qualified professional immediately. Do not send passwords, financial details, health details, government identification numbers, or other sensitive personal information in your messages.
5. Ads and rewarded ads
The App is free to download and is supported by advertising. Some AI characters and additional chat turns are unlocked by watching a rewarded advertisement. Watching a rewarded ad is always optional; if you choose not to watch, you keep access to the free features. Rewards are virtual, have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred, and may expire or change. We may modify the number of free chat turns, the reward amount, and the reward mechanics at any time. Where required, the App presents an ad-consent dialog before personalized advertising; you can change your choice in the App's Settings.
The App does not offer subscriptions or in-app purchases. If we introduce paid features in the future, they will be sold through Google Play Billing and these Terms will be updated accordingly.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- submit, request, or attempt to generate content that sexualizes or exploits minors, or any other CSAE/CSAM material — see the Child Safety Standards in our Privacy Policy; such use results in immediate termination and, where applicable, a report to NCMEC and/or the competent authorities;
- submit or attempt to generate content that is hateful, harassing, violent, dangerous, defamatory, or that promotes self-harm or illegal activity;
- attempt to jailbreak, prompt-inject, or otherwise circumvent the safety behaviour of the AI, its persona instructions, or any usage limit;
- bypass, disable, or interfere with advertising, reward gating, or other access controls, or falsify rewarded-ad completions;
- use bots, scrapers, emulators, automated tools, or modified clients to access the App or the underlying AI service, or to generate artificial ad impressions;
- interfere with, overload, or disrupt the App, our providers, or the networks used to deliver them;
- infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for a violation of this section.
7. Your content and AI output
You are responsible for what you send to the App. You retain any rights you hold in the text you submit; you grant us and our AI provider the right to process that text solely to generate replies and to operate, secure, and improve the App. Subject to applicable law and third-party rights, you may use AI replies for your personal, non-commercial purposes; we make no representation that AI output is original, accurate, or free of third-party rights, and you are responsible for verifying it before relying on it.
8. Intellectual property
The App, its source code, design, user interface, brand name, logo, character artwork, illustrations, and other content are owned by Tranquil Mind Technology JSC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. All AI characters are works of fiction; any resemblance to real persons or events is coincidental. Third-party names and marks belong to their owners, and their appearance in the App does not imply affiliation or endorsement.
9. Third-party services and content
The App uses third-party services, including an AI language-model provider, advertising and mediation networks, attribution, analytics, and crash-reporting services, and your device's speech-recognition and text-to-speech services. Each is governed by its own terms and privacy policy, as described in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for third-party services, advertisements, or the content or websites they lead to.
10. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, that AI replies will be accurate or suitable, or that defects will be corrected. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tranquil Mind Technology JSC and its officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or reputation, arising out of or relating to your use of the App or reliance on AI-generated content. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the App will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim or USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tranquil Mind Technology JSC and its officers, employees, and agents from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, including for breach of these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it, which also deletes the data stored on your device. Sections 7 through 12, 14, 15, and 16 survive termination.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Hanoi, Vietnam have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms. Mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you under the law of your country of residence are not affected.
