Privacy Policy
Liora Chat ("the App", "we", "us", "our"), operated by Tranquil Mind Technology JSC, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the App, you agree to this Policy.
Liora Chat is an AI companion app: you choose an AI character and have text or voice conversations with it for company, reflection, and everyday questions. You do not need to create an account, and we do not operate user accounts, logins, or user-to-user messaging. The profile you set up in the App (display name, email address, age, gender, interests, avatar) is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to us.
1. Information we collect
a) Information you provide inside the App — stored on your device
- Local profile: the display name, email address, age, and gender you enter during onboarding, the interest topics you select, and the avatar you choose from the built-in gallery or pick from your device's photo library. This profile is saved in the App's local storage on your device to personalize the interface and the companion suggestions. It is not uploaded to our servers and is not shared with third parties. Uninstalling the App deletes it.
- Chat history and favorites: your conversations and the companions you mark as favorite are saved in the App's local storage on your device so you can continue a conversation later. You can erase a conversation at any time with Clear conversation in the chat options, and uninstalling the App removes all locally stored conversations.
- Content reports: if you report an AI response using the in-app report option, the reported message, the reason you chose, and a timestamp are recorded in the App's local storage as a record of your report.
b) Conversation content sent to our AI provider
- Message text and conversation context. When you send a message, the text of that message, a limited number of recent messages from the same conversation (used as context), and the character's persona instructions are transmitted over HTTPS to our third-party large-language-model provider, DeepSeek, which generates the reply. Do not include passwords, financial details, health details, government ID numbers, or other sensitive personal information in your messages.
- Language detection for speak-aloud. When you use the speak-aloud (text-to-speech) feature, the text to be spoken is sent to the Google Cloud Translation API language-detection endpoint so the App can select the right voice.
c) Voice input (only when you use the microphone)
- If you use the voice-input button, the App requests the
RECORD_AUDIOpermission and passes your speech to your device's speech-recognition service (on Android, normally Google's speech recognition, which may process audio on Google's servers under Google's own privacy policy). The App receives only the transcribed text; we do not record, store, or upload audio files ourselves. The transcribed text is then handled like any other message you type (see section 1b).
d) Information collected automatically by advertising, analytics, and diagnostics services
- Device and advertising identifiers: the Android Advertising ID (the App declares the
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_IDpermission and the Android Privacy Sandbox advertising permissions), app-instance identifiers, the Google Play install referrer, and identifiers used by our advertising and attribution partners. - Device and app information: device model, manufacturer, operating-system version, language and region settings, screen and network type, App version and build.
- Approximate location derived from IP address (country/region level). The App does not request GPS or precise-location permissions.
- App and ad activity: screens viewed, features used, session length, ad impressions, ad clicks, and rewarded-ad completions.
- Signals about apps installed on your device: some of our advertising and mediation partners read and transmit information about the apps installed on your device, and use it for ad targeting, measurement, and fraud prevention. The App’s own code does not read or upload your app list, but because these partners can, we declare installed apps as collected and shared in our Google Play Data safety disclosure.
- Diagnostics: crash stack traces, error logs, and basic performance data.
- Consent signals: your responses to the ad-consent (UMP/IAB TCF) dialog, stored on your device and shared with advertising partners as required.
e) Reminder notifications
- If you allow notifications, the App schedules a daily reminder locally on your device using the Android notification scheduler (permissions
POST_NOTIFICATIONSandRECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED, the latter only to restore the schedule after a restart). There is no push server: no notification data is sent to us or to any third party. You can turn reminders off in the App or in your device's notification settings.
We do not collect your contacts, calendar, precise location, SMS, call logs, or files outside the single image you choose as your avatar.
2. How we use information
- Operate the App and generate AI replies to your messages.
- Remember your local profile, interests, language, favorites, and conversation history on your device.
- Provide voice input and speak-aloud features when you use them.
- Schedule the local daily reminder if you enable it.
- Show advertising, including rewarded ads that unlock additional chat turns and companions, and measure ad performance and attribution.
- Analyze aggregate usage to fix bugs, improve stability, and develop features.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents, including violations of our content standards.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

Ad consent (UMP / IAB TCF). In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the App shows a Google-certified consent dialog before personalized advertising. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the App's Settings, and your choice is passed to our advertising partners.
App Tracking Transparency (iOS). On iOS, the App asks for your permission before it uses the device identifier for advertisers (IDFA) to deliver personalized advertising. If you decline, the App and its advertising partners do not use the IDFA and you continue to see non-personalized ads. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Reset or opt out of your advertising ID. On Android you can reset or delete your Advertising ID and opt out of ad personalization in Settings → Google → Ads. Deleting the Advertising ID prevents advertising partners from using it to build a personalized profile.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share data only:
- with the third-party providers listed in section 3, for the purposes described there;
- when required by law, regulation, legal process, or an enforceable governmental request, and to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users, the public, or us — including reports made under section 8;
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, in which case we will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Notice for U.S. state residents. Personalized advertising involves the use of identifiers by advertising partners that may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (or "targeted advertising") under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA. You can opt out by declining personalized ads in the consent dialog where it is shown, by resetting or deleting your Advertising ID as described in section 3, or by contacting us at the address in section 13.
5. Legal bases (EEA/UK — GDPR)
- Consent — personalized advertising, and analytics where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests — operating and securing the App, generating AI replies you have requested, non-personalized advertising, aggregate analytics, crash diagnostics, and preventing abuse.
- Contract — providing the features you request when you use the App.
- Legal obligation — retaining and disclosing information where the law requires it, including child-safety reporting obligations.
6. Data retention
- Data stored on your device (profile, interests, chat history, favorites, consent choice, content reports) remains until you delete it in the App or uninstall the App.
- Message text sent to DeepSeek is retained by that provider under its own policy and retention schedule.
- Advertising, attribution, and analytics identifiers are retained by the respective partners under their own retention schedules; Firebase Analytics data is retained for a limited, configurable period.
- Crash and diagnostic reports are retained for a limited period for debugging purposes.
- Where you contact us by email, we keep the correspondence only as long as necessary to handle your request and to meet legal obligations.
7. Your rights
EEA/UK (GDPR). You have the right to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, and object to the processing of your personal data, to withdraw consent at any time, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
California (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know what personal information is collected, used, and disclosed; to delete it; to correct it; to opt out of "sale"/"sharing" and targeted advertising; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
Other regions. Residents of Brazil (LGPD), Canada (PIPEDA), and other jurisdictions with comparable laws have equivalent rights under their local law.
How to exercise your rights. Most of your data is under your own control: use Clear conversation in the chat options, edit or clear your profile in the App, or uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data. For requests concerning data held by us or our partners, email contact@tranquilmind.co. Because the App has no accounts, please include your Advertising ID, device model, and approximate date of use so we can locate the relevant records; we may be unable to act on a request we cannot verify.
8. Children's privacy & Child Safety Standards
The App is intended for users 18 years and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact contact@tranquilmind.co and we will delete it. In the EEA/UK, where the age of digital consent in your country is higher than 18, that higher age applies.
Child Safety Standards (CSAE)
This section constitutes the published Child Safety Standards of Liora Chat, published by Tranquil Mind Technology JSC, for the purposes of the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy.
Zero tolerance. We have a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The following are strictly prohibited in Liora Chat, whether contained in text you send, in voice input, in an image you select, or in any output produced by the AI:
- any depiction, description, or simulation of a minor in a sexual or sexualized manner, in image, video, audio, text, or AI-generated form;
- grooming, sextortion, solicitation, or trafficking of minors, or any attempt to arrange offline contact with a minor for such purposes;
- creating, requesting, sharing, promoting, or seeking access to CSAM or CSAE material;
- role-play, persona instructions, or prompts that attempt to make the AI portray a minor sexually or to circumvent these prohibitions.
Prevention. Liora Chat has no user-to-user messaging, no public profiles, no user-generated content feed, and no image, video, or file sharing between users — you converse only with an AI character supplied by us. All AI characters are adult fictional personas defined by us; users cannot create or upload their own characters. Conversation requests are processed by our language-model provider, which applies its own safety filtering and refuses prohibited requests.
In-app reporting. Every AI message can be reported directly in the chat screen using the report control on the message. The reporting sheet includes a dedicated "Child safety concern" reason alongside sexual or explicit content, harmful or dangerous content, hateful or abusive content, and other. Reports are recorded in the App. You can also report any child-safety concern at any time — and we ask you to do so for urgent matters — by emailing our child-safety point of contact below.
Response to violations. We review reports received at our child-safety contact address. Where a report is substantiated, we act on it: we adjust or block the offending model behaviour and persona configuration (which we can push to all users remotely without an app update), remove the offending content path, and suspend or terminate access for a user who submits prohibited requests. Where we become aware of apparent CSAM or of a child in danger, we report it to the U.S. National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or the competent local authorities, and we preserve the relevant records as required by law.
Compliance. We comply with applicable child-safety laws in the markets where the App is distributed and align our practices with the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy. We keep these standards under review and update them as our features change.
Child-safety point of contact: contact@tranquilmind.co (Tranquil Mind Technology JSC, No. 3, Alley 98, Vu Trong Phung Street, Thanh Xuan Ward, Hanoi City, Vietnam). We aim to respond to child-safety reports as a priority.
9. International data transfers
We are based in Vietnam and our service providers operate globally, including in the United States, the European Union, Singapore, and China (DeepSeek). Your information may therefore be processed in a country other than your own, where data-protection laws may differ. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
10. Data security
We transmit all data over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and rely on the operating system's application sandbox to protect data stored on your device. We restrict access to any data we hold and apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Third-party content
The App displays advertisements and may show links or images served by third parties. We do not control that content and are not responsible for it. Advertisements and AI-generated replies are not endorsements, and AI replies are generated automatically — they may be inaccurate and are not professional medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice. Please review the privacy policies of any third party whose content or website you access.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and, where required by law, we will seek your consent again. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
