Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Lingowl mobile application ("the App"), operated by Tranquil Mind Technology JSC ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher age of digital consent in your country) to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. License

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own non-commercial learning. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer the App except to the extent permitted by law.

3. The Service

Lingowl is an AI-powered English learning app offering real-time AI conversation, roleplay scenarios, pronunciation and grammar feedback, personalized quizzes, and progress tracking. Features and availability may vary by region and may change over time; we may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature.

4. Accounts

You sign in using your Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity under it. You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account in the App, or by emailing contact@tranquilmind.co (see our Privacy Policy for details).

5. Purchases and Ads

The App is free to download and is supported by third-party advertising served by Google AdMob and its mediation partners. In its current version the App contains no in-app purchases. If we introduce optional paid features in the future, they will be sold through Google Play Billing; any subscription will auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, manageable in your Google Play account settings, with refunds handled under Google Play policy and applicable consumer law.

6. AI-Generated Content

Conversations, feedback, and practice content are generated in part by third-party AI systems and may be inaccurate or imperfect. The App is a learning aid and does not guarantee any particular result, score, or level of language proficiency. Do not rely on AI output as professional advice. You must not use the App to generate or solicit unlawful content, including any content that exploits or endangers minors (see our Child Safety Standards in the Privacy Policy).

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: use the App unlawfully; disrupt or interfere with the App or its infrastructure; bypass access controls; use bots or scrapers; or infringe others' rights. We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, trademarks, and content are owned by Tranquil Mind Technology JSC and its licensors. Third-party marks belong to their owners; their appearance does not imply affiliation.

9. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services (including Google Firebase, OpenAI, Microsoft Azure, Google AdMob and its mediation partners, and Adjust) to operate and to serve and measure ads, each subject to its own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services or their content.

10. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation, and the App is not a substitute for professional instruction.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the greater of amounts you paid us in the last 12 months or USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Tranquil Mind Technology JSC against claims arising from your misuse of the App or breach of these Terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability survive termination.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted with a new "Last updated" date; continued use constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, with venue in Hanoi, Vietnam. Mandatory local consumer rights are preserved.
