Privacy Policy
IPTV Velix ("the App", "we", "us", "our"), operated by Tranquil Mind Technology JSC, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the App, you agree to this Policy.
IPTV Velix is a media player for IPTV playlists that you supply yourself (M3U/M3U8 or Xtream Codes). We do not host, provide, or distribute any TV channels, streams, or media. You do not need to create an account to use the App, and we do not operate a login or user-profile system.
1. Information We Collect
We do not ask you to register, and we do not collect your name, email address, or phone number.
Data you provide that stays on your device
Playlist URLs, uploaded playlist files, Xtream Codes login details (server, username, password), your favorites, watch/resume positions, and your parental-control PIN are stored locally on your device to operate the App. The PIN is saved only as a one-way hash. We do not operate any server of our own, and we never transmit your playlists, credentials, favorites, or viewing history to us or to any Tranquil Mind backend.
When you sign in to or stream from a source, the App sends the details needed to connect directly to the third-party IPTV provider or media server that you configured — for example, your Xtream username and password are sent to your provider's server to authenticate, and playlist or stream URLs are requested from the host you entered. Those requests, and the streams they return, travel between your device and your chosen provider; they do not pass through us. Your provider handles that data under its own privacy practices (see Section 11).
Data collected automatically
Through the third-party services in Section 3:
- Device and advertising identifiers — e.g. an app-instance ID and the Android
Advertising ID (AAID). The App declares the
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_IDpermission. These identifiers are used for advertising, ad measurement, attribution, analytics, and fraud prevention. - Approximate location — a coarse, city/region-level location derived from your IP address by our advertising, attribution, and analytics providers. We do not collect precise/GPS location, and the App requests no location permission.
- App activity — in-app interactions and events (e.g. screens opened, features used, ads requested, shown, clicked, or rewarded), used to operate the App, measure advertising, and improve the App.
- Advertising and attribution data — ad impressions and interactions, and install and marketing-attribution events processed by our advertising and attribution partners (AdMob and its mediation networks, and Adjust) to serve and measure ads and to understand how the App is installed and used.
- Crash logs and diagnostics — technical information about crashes and performance (device model, OS version, stack traces, timing) so we can fix problems.
We do not access your camera, microphone, contacts, photos, calendar, or SMS.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App.
- Serve and measure advertising, including personalized advertising where you have consented, through Google AdMob and its mediation networks.
- Measure marketing and install attribution to understand how the App is discovered and used.
- Diagnose crashes, monitor stability, and improve performance and features.
- Understand aggregate usage through analytics.
- Protect against fraud, abuse, and security threats, and comply with legal obligations.
The App is free and supported by advertising. Ads are provided through Google AdMob and the mediation networks listed in Section 3, which may display banner, interstitial, native, rewarded, and app-open ad formats.
3. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following data-transmitting services. Each processes data under its own privacy policy:
| Service | Purpose | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase (Analytics) | Aggregate usage analytics | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Google Firebase (Crashlytics) | Crash reporting and diagnostics | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Google Firebase (Remote Config) | Remote app configuration | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Google AdMob | Advertising (banner, interstitial, native, rewarded, app-open) | policies.google.com/technologies/ads |
| Meta Audience Network | Ad mediation | facebook.com/about/privacy |
| Pangle | Ad mediation | pangleglobal.com/privacy |
| Mintegral | Ad mediation | mintegral.com/en/privacy |
| Unity Ads | Ad mediation | unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy |
| Liftoff Monetize (Vungle) | Ad mediation | liftoff.io/privacy-policy |
| Adjust | Attribution & marketing analytics | adjust.com/terms/privacy-policy |
| Google Play (in-app review) | In-app rating prompt | policies.google.com/privacy |
Google Firebase acts as our service provider (data processor) and processes data on our behalf. Our advertising and attribution partners (AdMob and its mediation networks, and Adjust) act as independent controllers or processors for advertising purposes under their own policies. Google's handling of data is also governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Ad consent (UMP / IAB TCF). Where required (e.g. in the EEA/UK), the App presents a consent request managed through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before serving personalized ads, and reads the resulting IAB Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF) signals stored on your device so that our ad partners honour your choice. For networks that do not read the TCF string directly, the App forwards your GDPR and U.S.-privacy (CCPA) consent state to those mediation partners. You can change your choice at any time from the App's settings.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, to show ads the App shares device and advertising identifiers and ad-interaction data with our advertising partners. Under some U.S. state laws this may be considered a "sale" or "sharing"/targeted advertising (see Section 7). We share data:
- with the advertising and attribution partners listed in Section 3 (AdMob and its mediation networks, and Adjust), to serve and measure ads and attribute installs, subject to your consent choices;
- with the service providers listed in Section 3, to the limited extent needed to run the App;
- to comply with law, legal process, or enforceable governmental requests; and
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, subject to this Policy.
U.S. state privacy notice. Because the App serves personalized advertising, the sharing of advertising and device identifiers with ad partners may be treated as a "sale" or "sharing" for targeted advertising under certain U.S. state laws. You can opt out using the ad-consent controls and your device's advertising-ID settings described in Sections 3 and 7.
5. Legal Bases (EEA/UK — GDPR)
Where GDPR applies, we rely on: consent for personalized advertising and for certain analytics and attribution (collected via the UMP consent request described in Section 3); our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the App (including non-personalized advertising, crash diagnostics, and fraud prevention); and legal obligation where applicable. You may object to or withdraw consent as described in Section 7.
6. Data Retention
We retain automatically-collected data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law. Analytics and identifier data follow our analytics provider's standard retention periods; crash and diagnostic data are kept for a limited period to investigate and fix issues. Data you store locally (playlists, Xtream login) remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent or complain to a data protection authority (GDPR); to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the "sale"/"sharing" of personal information and targeted advertising, with no discrimination for exercising these rights (CCPA/CPRA); and similar rights under LGPD, PIPEDA, and other laws.
Because the App has no accounts, we cannot look you up by name or email. To exercise a right, email us at the address in Section 13 and include your Android Advertising ID and device details so we can locate the relevant data. You can also stop all automatic collection by uninstalling the App and can reset your advertising ID in device settings.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it. We handle age of digital consent in the EEA and COPPA obligations in the U.S. accordingly.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our service providers operate. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Data Security
We use HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit and reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Third-Party Content and Connections
The App plays streams and content from IPTV sources that you supply. We do not control, host, endorse, or take responsibility for that content or for the third-party servers you connect to. You are responsible for the sources you add and for ensuring you have the right to access them. Review the terms and privacy practices of your own IPTV provider.
When you use certain features, your device also connects directly to other third parties, each under its own privacy policy:
- Built-in free channels. The App includes a small optional list of freely available public live streams. Playing one connects your device directly to that broadcaster's content delivery network.
- YouTube live channels. Some built-in free channels are official 24/7 live streams shown through YouTube's embedded player. YouTube/Google may collect data as described in the Google Privacy Policy.
- Channel logos and program guide (EPG). Channel artwork and XMLTV program-guide files are fetched directly from the URLs contained in your playlist or provided by your IPTV provider.
- Casting. If you cast, the App sends the stream address to the Google Cast (Chromecast) device on your local network so it can play the media.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
