Privacy Policy
FpsPeak ("the App", "we", "us", "our"), operated by Tranquil Mind Technology JSC, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the App, you agree to this Policy.
FpsPeak is a refresh-rate tool that reads the display modes your screen supports and, through Shizuku, applies the refresh rate you choose. You do not need to create an account to use it.
1. Information we collect
We do not ask you for personal information, and the App has no sign-up, login, or user profile.
Data that leaves your device. We automatically collect a limited amount of technical and usage data. It is sent only to Google Firebase, which acts as our service provider:
- Device and other identifiers. This includes the Firebase app instance ID. Where your device makes it available, Firebase Analytics may also access the Android advertising ID, which we use for analytics only and never for advertising. It also includes related technical data: device model, Android version, app version and language.
- Approximate location. A coarse region (for example, country or city) is derived from your IP address by Firebase for analytics. We do not request location permission, and we do not collect your precise location.
- App activity. In-app events such as screen views and feature usage (for example, applying or resetting a refresh-rate mode), used to understand how the App is used.
- Installed apps. To show your games, the App reads the list of launchable apps installed on your device and identifies the games among them. This list is processed on your device to build the game list. We do not sell it or share it with third parties for their own use. We declare it here and in our Google Play Data safety form so our disclosures are complete.
- Crash logs and diagnostics. When the App crashes or misbehaves, Firebase Crashlytics collects a crash report (stack trace, device state and diagnostic information) so we can find and fix the problem.
Data that stays on your device. Your settings (language, selected game, selected refresh rate), your onboarding progress, and any configuration file you choose to import are stored only in the App's private storage on your device. Display-mode readings (supported refresh rates and the App's own frame-rate readout) are also processed only on your device. None of this is sent to us.
If you contact us. If you email us, we receive your email address and the content of your message, and we use them only to respond.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, files from other apps, camera, microphone, or account credentials. The App does not access or modify the data or files of any game.
2. How we use information
- Provide and operate the App, including detecting your installed games and applying your chosen display settings.
- Measure feature usage and app stability so we can fix problems and improve the App.
- Deliver remote configuration values that control feature flags, defaults and the text of local reminder notifications.
- Send local reminder notifications, which are scheduled on your device. You can turn them off in your Android notification settings.
- Protect against fraud, abuse and security issues, and comply with law.
We do not use your data for advertising, the App shows no ads, and it has no in-app purchases.
3. Third-party services
The App transmits data only to the following service:
| Service | Data | Purpose | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase: Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config (Google LLC) | Identifiers, approximate location, app activity, crash logs and diagnostics | Usage analytics, crash reporting and diagnostics, remote feature configuration | https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
Shizuku. The App works with Shizuku, a separate third-party app that you install and authorize yourself. Shizuku runs locally on your device and executes the display-setting commands you approve. The App does not send your data to Shizuku or its developer.
Links. The App may open external links, such as the Shizuku download page, this Policy, our Terms, or Google Play. Those sites have their own privacy practices.
The App contains no advertising SDK, no ad mediation, and no attribution or tracking SDK.
Advertising ID. If you prefer that no advertising ID be available to apps, you can delete or reset it at any time in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads or Settings → Privacy → Ads, depending on your device).
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We share the limited data described above with Google Firebase acting as our service provider. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
5. Legal bases (EEA/UK — GDPR)
- Legitimate interests: operating the App, detecting your games, measuring usage, ensuring security and stability, and improving the product.
- Consent: where local law requires consent for analytics, and whenever you choose to contact us.
- Legal obligation: where disclosure is required by law.
6. Data retention
- Firebase Analytics event data is kept for the retention period configured in our Firebase project. Google Analytics allows between 2 and 14 months.
- Crashlytics crash reports are kept for up to 90 days.
- Support emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your request.
- Data stored only on your device is deleted when you clear the App's data or uninstall the App.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights:
- GDPR: access, correct, delete, port, object to or restrict processing of your data, withdraw consent, and complain to a data protection authority.
- CCPA/CPRA: know, delete and correct personal information, opt out of its sale or sharing (we do not sell or share it), and not be discriminated against for using these rights.
- Other laws: similar rights under laws such as LGPD and PIPEDA.
How to ask for deletion or access. Because the App has no accounts, we cannot identify you by name. Email contact@tranquilmind.co and include your device model, your Android version and the approximate dates you used the App. If it is available on your device, also include your advertising ID. We will use these details to locate and delete the related analytics and crash data. You can also reset the analytics identifier yourself by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App.
8. Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children. You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if higher, to use it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (COPPA) or below the applicable age in the EEA/UK. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International data transfers
Data may be processed in countries other than yours, including the United States, where Google operates its servers. Where required, we and our providers rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Data security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and reasonable technical and organisational measures. The App keeps its local files in private app storage and disables Android cloud backup of App data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post material changes here with a new "Last updated" date. If you keep using the App after a change, you accept the updated Policy.
