Privacy Policy

Fetchly Downloader ("the App", "we", "us", "our"), operated by Tranquil Mind Technology JSC, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the App, you agree to this Policy.

Fetchly Downloader is a utility that lets you download and save videos from services such as TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and more. You do not need to create an account to use it.

1. Information we collect

We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect your name, email, phone number, or contacts. The App collects only data that is generated automatically as you use it and that is needed to fetch the media you request, run ads, measure performance, and keep the App stable:

• Device & advertising identifiers — including the Android Advertising ID (permission com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID), collected by the advertising, attribution, and analytics services listed in Section 3.
• App-generated device code (x-device-id) — the first time it runs, the App generates a random value, stores it on your device, and sends it in the x-device-id header with every request to our own download service, so that service can count and limit requests per device and stop abuse of the free service. This code is not your IMEI, Android ID, or advertising ID and is not linked to your identity — it is a random value created by the App. Clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App erases it; a new one is generated on the next launch.
• App authentication token (x-api-token) — every request to our download service also carries an app-level token identifying the app, not you.
• Links you choose to download — when you paste or open a link, the App sends that link to our own download service (and, for some source platforms, to a public third-party media endpoint) so it can locate the file and return a downloadable URL. Those services receive the link you submit, your IP address, and the device code above. They never receive a username or password for the source site — the App has no such login.
• Approximate location derived from your IP address (country/region level, for ad delivery and fraud prevention).
• App activity & diagnostics — in-app actions, ad interactions, crash logs, and performance data.
• Technical device data — device model, operating-system version (read on-device to choose the correct storage behaviour), language, and network type.

Stored only on your device (not collected by us): the media files you download, your download history and playlists, app settings, and your language choice. These stay in local storage on your device and are not transmitted to us. We do not use the links you submit to build a profile of you, and because the App has no in-app purchases or subscriptions we collect no payment information.

2. How we use information

• Provide and operate the App and its download features; remote configuration (Firebase Remote Config) keeps download endpoints and access tokens up to date without shipping a new release.
• Protect our download service — the app-generated device code and the app token let us apply per-device and per-app rate limits, detect automated abuse, and keep the free service available to real users.
• Show and measure advertising (including via mediation partners) and attribute installs.
• Analytics, crash reporting, and product improvement.
• Fraud prevention and security.
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. Third-party services

The App uses the following data-transmitting SDKs. Each partner processes data under its own privacy policy:

Our own services. Download requests are handled by our own download service at downloader-api.buibathanh97.workers.dev, delivered through Cloudflare. It receives the link you submit, your IP address, the app token, and the app-generated device code described in Section 1, and uses them only to return the requested media and to apply rate limits. It receives no account credentials and we do not use it to build a profile of you.

Third-party media endpoints. For some source platforms the App requests media metadata from a public endpoint of the platform itself (for example X/Twitter's public syndication endpoint, cdn.syndication.twimg.com). Those endpoints receive the link/post ID you submit and your IP address; they are governed by the source platform's own privacy policy. The App configures these endpoints remotely, so the exact provider can depend on the source platform.

Ad consent (UMP). Where required (e.g. the EEA/UK), we present a Google-certified consent message before serving personalized ads. You can change your choice later in the App's settings.

Reset / opt out of the advertising ID. You can reset or delete your Android Advertising ID and opt out of ad personalization in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads).

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share the automatically-collected data described above with the third-party partners in Section 3 so they can deliver and measure ads, provide analytics, and keep the App stable; for legal reasons; or in a business transfer. Because we use personalized advertising, some U.S. state laws may treat this data sharing as a "sale" or "sharing" for targeted advertising — you can opt out via the ad-consent controls and your device's ad settings.

5. Legal bases (EEA/UK — GDPR)

• Consent — personalized ads and analytics where consent is required.
• Legitimate interests — core functionality, security, fraud prevention, and improvement.
• Legal obligation — where the law requires processing.

6. Data retention

We keep no user database and no user profiles. Our download service stores the app-generated device code only transiently, for the short counting windows needed to apply rate limits, and keeps no download history tied to you. Advertising and analytics identifiers are retained according to each partner's retention periods (for example, Google Analytics for Firebase retains user-level data for up to 14 months); crash and diagnostic data are kept for a limited period. Data held on your device (downloads, history, settings, the device code) remains until you clear the App's data or uninstall the App.

7. Your rights

• GDPR (EEA/UK): access, correct, delete, port, object, restrict, withdraw consent, and complain to a Data Protection Authority.
• CCPA/CPRA (California): know, delete, correct, opt out of sale/sharing and targeted advertising, and non-discrimination.
• Other regions (LGPD, PIPEDA, etc.): equivalent rights under local law.

Because the App has no accounts, please include your Android Advertising ID (Settings → Google → Ads) and device details when you contact us so we and our partners can locate any associated data. Contact us at the email in Section 13.

You can also act directly on your device: reset your Advertising ID, opt out of ads personalization, reopen the in-app consent dialog, or clear the App's data — clearing the App's data also erases the app-generated device code described in Section 1.

8. Children's privacy

The App is not directed to children. The minimum age to use the App is 13 (or the higher age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International data transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we and our partners rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses).

10. Data security

Data transmitted by the App and the SDKs described above is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Requests to our download service are authenticated with an app-level token and protected by per-device and per-app rate limiting. We apply other reasonable technical and organizational measures; however, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

11. Third-party content

The App lets you access and download content hosted by third-party platforms (e.g. TikTok, YouTube, Instagram). That content and those platforms are governed by their own terms and policies; we are not responsible for third-party content and you are responsible for respecting the rights of content owners.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new date; continued use of the App means you accept the updated Policy.
