Privacy Policy
Cliffy ("the App", "we", "us", "our"), operated by Tranquil Mind Technology JSC, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the App, you agree to this Policy.
Cliffy is a vertical short-drama streaming app where each episode runs 1–2 minutes and ends on a cliffhanger. You do not need to create an account or sign in to use it — you can browse, search, and watch straight away.
1. Information we collect
We keep data collection to what is needed to run the App, show ads, and improve the experience. We collect only data that leaves your device; content you create on the device (such as your watch progress, saved titles, and viewing history) is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us.
Information collected automatically:
- Device and advertising identifiers — including the Google Advertising ID (AAID) and similar device/app identifiers, used by our advertising and analytics partners.
- Approximate location — coarse, IP-derived location (e.g. country/region). We do not collect precise GPS location, and the App does not request location permissions.
- App activity and usage — screens viewed, series and episodes watched, in-app searches, taps on features, and interactions with ads, used for analytics and ad measurement.
- Crash logs and diagnostics — crash reports, error data, and performance/diagnostic information to keep the App stable.
Information you provide:
- The App has no account, login, or registration and does not ask you to submit personal details such as your name, email, or phone number. If you contact us for support by email, we receive the information in your message.
2. How we use information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the App and stream the drama catalog.
- To remember your progress and preferences (stored on your device).
- To show and measure advertising, including personalized advertising where you have consented.
- To understand usage, fix bugs, and improve features (analytics).
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. Third-party services
The App uses the following third-party SDKs and services, which may receive and process the data described above. Each partner processes data under its own privacy policy:
| Service | Provider | Purpose | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Firebase Analytics | Usage analytics & measurement | https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy | |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Crash reporting & diagnostics | https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy | |
| Firebase Remote Config | Feature/ad configuration | https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy | |
| Google AdMob | Advertising (banner, interstitial, native, rewarded, app-open) | https://policies.google.com/privacy | |
| Meta Audience Network | Meta Platforms | Advertising mediation | https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy |
Ad consent (UMP / GDPR). In the European Economic Area, the UK, and other regions where required, the App shows a Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form before serving personalized ads. Your choice determines whether you receive personalized or non-personalized advertising. You can change your choice later from the App’s settings/consent options where available.
Resetting or limiting your advertising ID. You can reset or delete your advertising identifier, or opt out of ad personalization, in your device settings: on Android, Settings → Privacy → Ads (or Google → Ads). Deleting the advertising ID limits personalized advertising.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only:
- with the third-party services listed in Section 3, for the purposes described;
- to comply with law, legal process, or enforceable governmental requests;
- to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or the App;
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
U.S. state privacy note. Because we use advertising partners that serve personalized ads, some U.S. state laws (e.g. California’s CCPA/CPRA) may treat the sharing of device/advertising identifiers for targeted advertising as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You can opt out of this by declining personalized-ads consent and/or resetting your advertising ID as described in Section 3.
5. Legal bases (EEA/UK — GDPR)
Where the GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we rely on: consent (for personalized advertising and analytics where consent is required); legitimate interests (core functionality, security, fraud prevention, and product improvement); and legal obligation (compliance and record-keeping). You may withdraw consent at any time.
6. Data retention
We and our partners retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law. Advertising and analytics identifiers are retained per each partner’s retention schedule; crash and diagnostic data are kept for a limited period to investigate and fix issues. On-device data (progress, saved titles, history) remains until you delete it or uninstall the App.
7. Your rights
GDPR / UK GDPR (EEA/UK): you have the right to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
CCPA/CPRA (California) and similar U.S. state laws: you have the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, to opt out of the "sale"/"sharing" of personal information and targeted advertising, and to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
Other regions (e.g. LGPD in Brazil, PIPEDA in Canada): you have equivalent rights to access, correct, and delete your data and to information about our processing.
How to exercise your rights. Because the App has no account, we cannot identify you from a name alone. To make a request, email us at contact@tranquilmind.co and include your device’s advertising ID (and, if relevant, your device model and approximate date of use) so we can locate and act on any associated data. We will respond as required by applicable law.
8. Children’s privacy
The App is intended for users aged 16 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your region, and under 13 under COPPA in the United States). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at contact@tranquilmind.co and we will delete it.
9. International data transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our service providers operate. Where required, we and our partners rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses) for these transfers.
10. Data security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and other reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Third-party content
The App streams dramatized short-video content and may link to third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of third parties; please review their policies.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
