Privacy Policy
Aegicall ("the App", "we", "us", "our"), operated by Tranquil Mind Technology JSC, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the App, you agree to this Policy.
Aegicall is a caller identification and call-screening app for Android. It matches incoming and searched phone numbers against the contacts saved on your own device, screens calls against the Spam and Block lists you create, and gathers the chat notifications you have not opened yet so you can review them. You do not need to create an account to use it, and there is nothing to sign up for.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what the App needs to function and to show advertising. We do not upload your contacts, your notifications, or the content of your messages to our servers. In fact, we operate no server of our own: the App has no backend, and the only data that leaves your device is sent by the third-party advertising and analytics services listed in Section 3.
Processed on your device only — never sent to us
- Contacts (
READ_CONTACTS) — matched locally against incoming and searched numbers so the App can show a saved name instead of a bare number, and to populate the Contacts and Favourites screens. Your contact list is never collected by us, never stored on a server, and never shared. - Notifications (
BIND_NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE) — the "Unseen messages" feature reads notifications on your own device so you can review messages you have not opened. Sender names and message text are stored only in the App's local storage on your device and are never transmitted. - Call screening (
BIND_SCREENING_SERVICE) — when you set Aegicall as your default Caller ID & spam app, incoming numbers are compared on-device against your own Spam and Block lists. The numbers of your callers are not sent anywhere. - Placing calls (
CALL_PHONE) — used only to hand a number you tapped to the system dialer. We do not record, monitor, or log your calls, and the App does not read your call history: theREAD_CALL_LOGandREAD_PHONE_STATEpermissions have been deliberately removed from the App. - Your Spam list, Block list, favourites, theme, language and other settings — stored locally on the device.
All of the above remains under your control and is deleted when you clear it in the App or uninstall the App.
Collected automatically and sent to third parties (advertising and analytics)
- Device and advertising identifiers, including the Android Advertising ID (
AD_ID). - Approximate location, derived coarsely from your IP address by advertising and analytics networks. The App itself requests no location permission at all — it declares neither
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATIONnorACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION— and therefore never accesses your GPS or precise location. - App activity — which screens and features you use, and other in-app interaction events.
- Installed apps — to group the notifications shown in the "Unseen messages" screen, the App checks whether certain messaging apps are present on your device. The advertising and attribution services listed in Section 3 may also receive an installed-app signal.
- Diagnostics and crash reports — device model, operating-system version, App version, performance data, and crash stack traces.
We do not collect your name, email address, postal address, phone number, payment details, photos, camera or microphone input, files, health data, or precise location.
2. How we use information
- To provide and operate the App: caller identification, call screening, number lookup, and the unseen-message tracker.
- To show and measure advertising, including personalized advertising where you have consented or where it is otherwise permitted.
- For analytics and improvement: to understand how features are used, diagnose crashes, and make the App better.
- For fraud prevention, security, and compliance, including detecting invalid advertising traffic.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not build profiles about you beyond the advertising personalization described above.
3. Third-party services
The App integrates the following data-transmitting services. Each processes data under its own privacy policy:
| Service | Purpose | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config) | Usage analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration | https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Google AdMob | Advertising and measurement | https://policies.google.com/privacy |
| Meta Audience Network | Ad mediation | https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy |
| AppLovin | Ad mediation | https://www.applovin.com/privacy/ |
| Pangle | Ad mediation | https://www.pangleglobal.com/privacy |
| Mintegral | Ad mediation | https://www.mintegral.com/en/privacy/ |
| Adjust | Attribution and marketing analytics | https://www.adjust.com/terms/privacy-policy/ |
Ad consent (UMP). Where required — for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland — we present a Google-certified consent form (the User Messaging Platform) before serving personalized ads, and we honour the choice you make. You can change your choice later where the App offers the consent form again.
Reset or opt out of the advertising ID. You can reset your Android Advertising ID, or delete it entirely, in Settings → Privacy → Ads (the exact path varies by device and Android version). Doing so limits personalized advertising.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share your contacts, your notifications, or your message content with anyone.
We share the automatically-collected data described in Section 1 with the third-party services listed in Section 3, for the purposes described there. We may also disclose information for legal reasons — to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public — and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or other business transfer.
Because advertising may be personalized, some U.S. state privacy laws treat the sharing of advertising identifiers with advertising partners as a "sale" or as "sharing" for targeted advertising. You can opt out as described in Sections 3 and 7.
5. Legal bases (EEA / UK — GDPR)
- Consent — personalized advertising, and analytics where consent is required.
- Legitimate interests — operating the App's core functionality, security and fraud prevention, and improving the product.
- Legal obligation — meeting our legal and regulatory duties.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.
6. Data retention
We keep data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by law. Advertising and analytics identifiers are retained according to each partner's own retention periods. Crash and diagnostic data are kept for a limited period. Data processed on your device — contacts, notifications, spam and block lists, favourites, and settings — remains under your control and is removed when you clear it in the App or uninstall the App.
7. Your rights
- GDPR (EEA / UK): access, correct, delete, port, object to and restrict processing, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
- CCPA / CPRA (California) and comparable U.S. state laws: know, delete, correct, opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising, and non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
- Other regions: LGPD (Brazil), PIPEDA (Canada), and comparable laws grant similar rights.
To exercise any right, contact us at contact@tranquilmind.co. Because the App has no accounts and we hold no directly identifying information about you, please include your Android Advertising ID and your device details in your request so that we can locate any relevant data held by our partners. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
You can also delete the data held on your device at any time yourself, by clearing your lists in the App or by uninstalling the App.
8. Children's privacy and Child Safety Standards
The App is intended for users aged 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it. We handle age-of-consent requirements for the EEA and the requirements of COPPA accordingly.
Child Safety Standards (CSAE) — Aegicall, Tranquil Mind Technology JSC
Aegicall, published by Tranquil Mind Technology JSC, has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This section constitutes our published child safety standards for the purposes of the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy.
Prohibited absolutely. It is strictly prohibited to use Aegicall, or any communication or contact facilitated through it, to create, request, access, store, share, promote, or solicit CSAM or any other material that sexually exploits, endangers, or sexualizes a minor — in any form, including images, video, audio, text, and AI-generated or computer-generated content. Grooming, sextortion, sexual solicitation of a minor, and child trafficking are likewise absolutely prohibited.
How the App is built. Aegicall does not host, transmit, or publish user-generated content. It has no chat, no comments, no profiles, no feeds, no user-to-user messaging, and no way for one user to send content to another user. Calls that you place are handed to your device's own dialer and carrier; the App does not carry them. The notifications shown in the "Unseen messages" screen are read from your own device and never leave it. There is therefore no content library for us to moderate, and we make no claim to moderate content we never receive.
Response. If we are notified of, or otherwise become aware of, any apparent CSAE or CSAM connected to the App, we will act promptly: we will terminate access for the responsible party where we are able to do so, preserve relevant information, and report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or to the competent local authorities, as required by applicable law. We comply with applicable child-safety laws in the jurisdictions where the App is available and we align our practices with the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy.
How to report. Anyone may report a child-safety concern relating to Aegicall, at any time, by writing to our child-safety point of contact:
- Child safety contact: contact@tranquilmind.co
- Developer: Tranquil Mind Technology JSC
- App: Aegicall
Reports of child sexual abuse material should also be made directly to NCMEC at https://report.cybertip.org or to your local law-enforcement authority. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
9. International data transfers
Your data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States, by the service providers listed in Section 3. Where required, we and our partners rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Data security
All data transmitted by the App is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Data held on your device is stored in the App's private storage, which the Android operating system isolates from other apps. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date, and where required we will seek your consent again. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
